Juan Pablo Trad Hasbun

 born 1978 in Mexico City, studied double bass with Marji Danilow at Mannes College of Music in New York and with Petru Iuga at KUG. He performs regularly in various formations such as Ensemble Interface, Schalfeld Ensemble and Ensemble neue Raum. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Blackpage Orchestra in Vienna as a double bassist. As a soloist, he has premiered numerous works by young composers and participated as an improviser in various music and art festivals.

 

He is a prize winner of the composition competition of the international chamber music days Raumberg. Studied composition with Gerd Kühr, Pieluigi Billone and Alexander Stankovski at the KUG. His works have been successfully premiered at various famous music festivals, as well as Wein Modern, Musik Protokoll, Soli-fan-tutti concert series and Symphony of Human Rights. Some of these works were also shown on ORF.

Previous collaborations have included ensembles such as Studio DAN, airborne extended, Quki ensemble and Ensemble neue Musik.

In 2016 he founded "Nos Incogniti" with his colleagues. The trio has performed at various festivals, such as Tonraum, Impuls, Mur-fest and Interpenetration.
